Created for my friend Jack Saban.
On 11 September, as many tourists towards the WTC. Last day to NYC, 8 hours it makes the keys to his hotel and proceeded to "Lower Manhattan". Takes his ticket for the WTC, the lift and found the sky of NYC. The chance (finally in a sense) Jack thirsts, the distributor at the top is empty, then coffee direction of the esplanade a shadow of the towers .... and 8:39 "I pay and I hear the worst noise, steals my money, and I get something big on the neck, I am knocked KO, all the chairs and tables were lying down, my jacket off and my tennis, I do not see anything my neck is blocked I can not rotate my head, I do not look up what happens, too much debris and glass falling, my legs are like dry wood, I wish the neck with both hands, my t-shirt covering my head, to avoid dust, my legs are bare lacerated, I protect my eyes with my hands, but my glasses (without them I would be lost). I fear I am blood, I do not know what happened exactly, so many things fall from the top, orders in English that I do not always understand, they are screaming, everyone screams and suffering, I can not walk, the ground is broken glass, my mouth full of thick dust, I shouted with difficulty, I mean "this is war", "is an earthquake", or " Pearl Harbor, "like ants disordered people are going in all directions .............".(text of jack) Since then, Jack is gravely ill, he gradually loses sight .... You can read his story on his blog "Bryant Park Story"
Any heart with you my friend Jack.

Thank you for bringing us Jack's story. My hopes & well wishes are with him.

What a wonderful and rightly emotional tribute to Jack and the tragedy he was victim of. This i also a tribute to all those who have lost their lives or have suffered terrible injuries but who have been forgotten...

Jack - we're thinking about you today, full of hope and positive thoughts to erase the darkness of this date in history.

Excellent story by Jack Saban. I have not heard too many people talk about experiences during the tragedy. Jack's account of what happened was harrowing.

Olivier - thank you for your beautiful memorial for such a sorrowful day. Your post has great impact seen through the - now failing - eyes of a single person. As a native New Yorker, I greatly appreciate the sentiments of our friends around the world.

Oh, gosh, what a story! I hope Jack will be okay. Well, that is a relative term, isn't it?

I visited the World Trade Centers before they were knocked down. They were so huge, there was nowhere for them to go. I am amazed that more people were not killed. I think there were a lot of heros that day.
