Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois fête les plantes

Ce weekend, la ville de Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois fêtait les plantes dans la cour du donjon. (la première photo est un panoramique, cliquer dessus pour l'agrandir. J'ai laisser le fantôme sur la photo, j'ai trouve que cela rendait bien)This weekend, wish city of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois celebrated plants in the courtyard of the donjon. Ayant des problèmes de perspectives avec certaines photos, je passais un temps fou avec PFS. J'ai découvert dernièrement un logiciel gratuit ShiftN qui permet de corriger les lignes convergentes d'une photo. Voila un exemple d'utilisation.

Having problems with certain perspectives photos, I spent time with mad PFS. I recently discovered a free software that allows ShiftN correct lines converging a photograph. Here is an example of use.

La création florale était sur le thème du livre de la jungle. Elle a été faite par le lycée horticole et paysager de la ville de Marcourssis.
The floral creation was the theme of the book of the jungle. It was made by the high school horticulture and landscape of the city of Marcourssis.

Donjon de Ste Genevieve #3 : Ciel de feu et la video

Le Donjon n'est ouvert au public qu'au moment d'expositions, alors bientot une nouvelle serie mais vu de l'intérieur.

Voila c'est la fin de la première série sur le Donjon de Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois. Je passe tous les matins devant ce donjon pour aller au travail, et j'avoue que je m'arrête souvent pour prendre des photos surtout quand le ciel est aussi beau.

The Keep is opened with the public only at the time of exposures, then soon a new series but seen interior.
Veiled it is the end of the first series on the Holy-Genevieve-of-Wood Keep. I spend every morning in front of this keep to go to work, and I acknowledge that I often stop to take photographs especially when the sky is also beautiful.

Donjon de Ste Genevieve #2 : La lune

La Tour.
La Tour a été classée Monument historique le 7 décembre 1923. Elle baigne en partie dans un large fossé rempli d'eau qui a été inscrit à l'inventaire supplémentaire des Monuments historiques le 12 janvier 1961.
Elle fut remaniée au 17e siècle et reconvertie en pigeonnier. Le toit conique et son lanterneau datent de cette époque.
Sa nouvelle affectation et l'importance des travaux qui l'accompagnèrent semblent démontrer qu'elle était destinée à des communs ou à une ferme. Au 18e siècle, elle fut incorporée aux nouveaux communs.

The Tower.

The Tower was classified Historic building on December 7, 1923. It bathes partly in a broad ditch filled with water which was registered with the additional inventory of the Historic buildings on January 12, 1961.
It was altered at the 17th century and was reconverted into pigeon. The conical roof and its lantern go back to this time.
Its new assignment and the importance of work which accompanied it seems to show that it was intended for commun runs or a farm. In the 18th century, it was incorporated in the new commun runs.

Un peu d'histoire : Les premiers travaux de construction du Donjon dateraient du début du XIème siècle. En 1304, le seigneur Jean de Belmont parachève la construction. Au XVIIème siècle, Antoine Boyer fait détruire le château médiéval pour lui substituer un édifice en pierres et en briques. En 1743, le fermier général Pierre Durey, seigneur de Morsang, achète la seigneurerie génovéfaine et celles de Villemoisson et du Perray. Et en 1782 l'architecte Jean-Denis Antoine remanie l'ensemble semi-circulaire enchâssant le donjon.

A little history: The first building work of the Keep would date from the beginning of XIème century. In 1304, the lord Jean de Belmont completes construction. At the XVIIème century, Antoine Boyer makes destroy the medieval castle to substitute a brick and stone building to him. In 1743, the farmer general Pierre Durey, lord of Morsang, buy the seigneurery génovéfaine and those of Villemoisson and Perray. And in 1782 the architect Jean-Denis Antoine alters the semicircular unit enchasing the keep.

La patinoire du Donjon de Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois

Cette année la ville de Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois a installée une patinoire (200m2) dans la cour du Donjon. La patinoire (ainsi que la location des patins) etait gratuite (fermeture de la patinoire aujourd'hui).
La patinoire et les illuminations de noël, font de superbes lumieres dans la cour du Donjon.
Bientot, la patinoire de noël de Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois aussi connue que la patinoire du Rockfeller center ;o)

The skating rink of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois

This year the town of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois installed a skating rink (200m2) in the court of the Keep. The skating rink (as well as the hiring of the shoes) was free (closing of the skating rink today ).
The skating rink and the Christmas lights, make superb lights in the court of the Keep. Soon, the skating rink of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Christmas as known as the skating rink of Rockfeller center ;O)
