In the station of bus (of the district of the pyramids - place of the mirrors), one finds murals, which invites us to the voyage. A way of escaping from the suburbs. (Paintings are there since the creation of the District, from where a little the with dimensions one tired).

The painting of the old seaplane is wonderful. It brings to mind travels of adventure.

For a second there, I thought it was a Hopper or even Rockwell...Unexpected to see this style in Evry.
Love them both!

The paints on the wall reminds me of the TinTin cartoon.

I have friends who LOVE TinTin.

First, I love your new avatar. So clever. And the aircraft--wonderful!

The murals are so lovely. I wish the grafitti wasn't there though.
Nice new avatar Olivier.

I like the feeling of nostalgia these murals evoke. What's an avatar? ( and am i asking a dumb question?)

I too like murals. Too bad, I can not find here, at least not yet.
These murals are lovely.

After reading tanty`s comment, I am trying to remember, where I have seen murals, but only churches came to my mind! We have plenty of old wooden churches, where murals cover all walls. Murals are not common here.
That`s why they look so special , I remember in your earlier post murals of school walls.
Nice days to you, Olivier!

I like your post today of the murals in the bus station. It is similar to our WPA projects where people were given jobs for pay back when times were really tough.

Murals are not easy to do. I have done several large ones for schools and churches but always did them on canvas using oil paints and brushes. I had to make my own stretcher strips using our 2x4 lumber.

I like the pictures and your photographs of them.

I have 1 baby raccoon today and a pile of poop!

The "the station of bus" is a way of escaping as well. So an artistic escape seem appropriate.

J'adore the service station. It's just so cute. And, as Kate noted, your new avatar is very clever. I think it suits you well :).
