The Fantasia (TEMERAD) :
* The group of riders arises at the step at the end of the course makes a half turn on the spot, slowly presents the horses at the beginning, and the team leader launches the starting cry.
* To the starting cry the riders launch their horses to the gallop
* To the second cry of weapon the riders rise to the elbow to elbow by holding rifles out of cheek and all the riders must rise like only one man, aligned with the elbow with elbow, tightened well.
* The third cry of weapon gives the signal of shooting which must simulate only one deflagration
* The race end of the riders must be ordered and slow without leaving the course with a return to a state of calm.

Olivier...as always, well rendered and well described. You've enlightened many about horses no doubt this past week. Enjoy your weekend...Hi-ho Silver! and away!

Kate a dit…

The formality of the process and the way it is organized is very fascinating.

Lavenderlady a dit…

What fun...and such a formal approach! I love horses.

pusa a dit…

it looks so much fun and it looks like a scene in a movie :)

So interesting Olivier. You captured it well. Have a wonderful weekend too.

Peter a dit…

Magnifique! Merci!!!

(I was a bit worried when watching the end of the second clip. Your camera suddenly pointed at the ground. They did not shoot on you?)

Nice weekend!

Olivier a dit…

Cergie a dit…

AHAHA !

See you soon, Olivier...
Have a nice week-end.

AH ! OLIVIER !

BISOU !

I know you warned us, but I still got startled when they fired in the first video ;-)

Great Pageantry! Reminds me of our Civil War reenactments.

Bon weekend!

Annie a dit…

I can almost hear the sound of the horses hooves pounding. My heart beats more strongly, resonating with the pulsing of the earth. This festival would be so exciting to me.
