La Cathédrale de la Résurrection d'Evry : les statues du chœur (5/5)

le Christ de Tanzanie
Ce Christ fait 1.70 métre, il est fait en bois et a été sculpté en Tanzanie au siècle dernier.
La croix qui supporte le christ est en acier noirci. Sa forme (tres speciale) est en "Tau" (Sans barre supérieure).

The cross which supports Christ is out of blackened steel. Its form (very special) is in “Tau” (Without higher bar).
la Vierge de Chaource
La statue de la Vierge de Chaource (datant du XVIéme siecle) est en bois et fait 1.20 métres de haut.
Chaource est une commune de de l'est de la France.

saint Corbinien
La statue représente l'évêque Saint corbinien. Une oeuvre de France et Hugues Siptrott.

La Cathédrale de la Résurrection d'Evry : L'interieur (3/5)

Elle est dédiée à Saint Corbinien né en 680 à Saint-Germain de Châtre, premier évangélisateur de la Bavière.
L'interieur de la Cathédrale est faite d'une nef, d'un choeur, d'une chapelle et d'une crypte.
La nef est un cylindre vertical de 29 m de diamètre qui peut contenir 1 200 fidèles. Des bancs en chêne assurent 800 places assises.
L'autel est en marbre de Carrare.
Parlons argent : Le coût total de la construction est de 13.721.000.€. Une grande partie du financement vient de 300 000 à 400 000 donateurs.
Le reste vient des chantiers du cardinal et du diocése de Munich et du mécènat d'entreprise.

The Cathedral of the Resurrection of Evry: The interior (3/5).
It is dedicated to Saint Corbinien born into 680 in Saint-Germain de Châtre, first evangelist of Bavaria.
The interior of the Cathedral is made of a nave, a chorus, a vault and a crypt.
The nave is a vertical roll 29 m in diameter which can contain 1.200 faithful. Benches in oak ensure 800 sitted places.
The furnace bridge is out of Carrara marble.
Let us speak money : The total cost of construction is of 13.721.000.€. Most of the financing comes from 300.000 to 400.000 givers. The remainder comes from the building sites of the cardinal and the diocése of Munich and the mécènat of company.

Le toit est mètallique, d'une forme triangulaire qui rappel la trinité.
Le toit est couronné de 24 tilleuls (de 5 à 6 mètres de haut) symboles de vie.
Il y a 5 cloches, qui ont pour nom (choisi par le diocése ) :
- Mario Maria Giuditta Tobia Tomaso. La note de cette cloche est le sol et son poids de 640 kg.
- Corbinien. La note de cette cloche est le la et son poids est de 450 kg.
- Marie. La note de cette cloche est le si et son poids est de 350 kg.
- Antoinette Marie-Thérèse-de-Saint-Augustin. La note de cette cloche est le ré et son poids est de 190 kg.
- François Michel. La note de cette cloche est le mi et son poids est de 155 kg.

The Cathedral of the Resurrection of Evry: the roof and the bell-tower (2/5).
the roof is metallic, of a triangular form which recall the trinity.
The roof is crowned of 24 limes (from 5 to 6 meters in height) symbols of life.
There are 5 bells, which have as a name (chosen by the diocese) :
- Mario Maria Giuditta Tobia Tomaso. The note of this bell is the “#G” and its weight of 640 kg.
- Corbinien. The note of this bell is “#A” and its weight is 450 kg.
- Marie. The note of this bell is “#H” and its weight is 350 kg.
- Antoinette Marie-Thérèse-of-Saint-Augustin. The note of this bell is “#D” and its weight is 190 kg.
- François Michel. The note of this bell is the “#E” and its weight is 155 kg.

La Cathédrale de la Résurrection d'Evry : Exterieur (1/5)

Cette semaine, je vais vous presenter la cathédrale de la résurrection d'Evry.
Ouverture de la cathedrale au public le mardi 11 avril 1995, et inauguration le jour de Pâques 1996.
L'architecte choisi est Mario Botta, connu pour son Musée d'art moderne de San Francisco. il a dit après la construction, qu'il avait construit "une maison à étage unique tendue entre ciel et terre"
La cathédrale présente un cylindre de 38 métres de diamétre et culmine à 34 métres.
Il aura fallu plus de 840.000 briques pour la construire.

The Cathedral of the Resurrection of Evry: Outside (1/5).
This week, I will present to you the cathedral of the resurrection of Evry.
The cathedral is opening to the public on Tuesday April 11, 1995, and will be inaugurated the Easter Day 1996.
The selected architect is Mario Botta, known for his Museum of modern art of San Francisco. he said after construction, that he had built “a house on single floor tended between sky and ground”.
the cathedral presents a cylinder of 38 measure diameter and culminates to 34 measure.
It will have been necessary more than 840.000 bricks to build it.
