Continuation of the adventures of the Church Saint Pierre and Saint Paul.
It was restored in 1977 and during this time the mass was said to the town hall of Evry Village.
It is open only for the mass of Sunday, where one finds the inhabitants of the old village.
End of Suspence: Inside one finds a cross has back.
It is about a cross of Saint Pierre. Saint Pierre not wanting to be crucify like Jesus, it asked to be crucify with the head in bottom. This is why its cross is “with back”.

I think that's the first time I've seen an upside down cross in a church before! It's nice to hear the story behind it :)

Sorry, pas de français aujourd'hui. I'm too tired.

Great shots Olivier! I love saying your name...it's so FRENCH! LOL! =)
And what a beautiful church...very appropriate for me, because I "resurected" my blog today! =)

I especially like the top photo because of the bright light in the chancel.

I learnt something new from your blog today. Pierre = Paul.

It's good to see that there are many worshippers still in church. Many churches in Europe are getting very empty from what I heard.
