Église orthodoxe Notre Dame de l'Assomption de Sainte Genevieve des bois
"Cette église de style Novgorodien (XVe s.) dont l'intèrieur est entièrement décoré de fresques, fut construite en 1939 près d'un cimetière où se trouvent inhumés, depuis 1927, environ 10000 russes venus en France à la suite de la Révolution de 1917. Plus d'un demi siècle d'histoire et de culture s'y trouvent représentés. L'église et le cimetière sont inscrits aux inventaires supplémentaires des monuments historiques. Des offices se déroulent à l'intérieur de l'église les samedis, dimanches et jours de fêtes."

St Genevieve revisite au Stenope : eglise notre dame de l'assomption

Photos prises avec mon Sténopé (Pinhole 100 avec un dos polaroid) et deux films différents, le film couleur 669 (le film est périmé, c'est ce qui donne les deux taches de lumière) et un film b&w 664. La photo b&w a été prise vers 18 heures, le film étant de 100 Isos, j'ai été obligé d'avoir un temps de pose de plus de 12 minutes.Photos taken with my Pinhole (with a polaroid back) and two different films, the film 669 (The film is expired, this gives the two spots of light) and a color film b&w 664. The b&w photo was taken around 18 hours, the film is 100 Isos, I had to have an exposure time of more than 12 minutes.

L'église orthodoxe Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption de Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois

Église de style novgorodien (XVe siècle), elle fut construite en 1938-1939 selon les plans de l’architecte Albert-Alexandrovitch Benois. L’intérieur est décoré de fresques réalisées par l’architecte et sa femme Marguerite (ils reposent tous les deux maintenant dans la crypte de l’église). L’église fut consacrée le 14 octobre 1939 par le Métropolite Euloge. L’église est blanche, surmontée d’un superbe bulbe bleu.

L’église et le cimetière sont inscris dans l’inventaire des Monuments historiques, et composent un ensemble unique en France

Church of style novgorodien (XVe century), it was built in 1938-1939 according to plans' of the architect Albert-Alexandrovitch Benois. The interior is decorated with frescos carried out by the architect and his Marguerite wife (they rest both maintaining in the crypt of the church).
The church was devoted on October 14, 1939 by Metropolite Euloge. The church white, is surmounted by a superb blue bulb. The church and the cemetery are register in the inventory of the Historic buildings, and make a whole unique in France
