Work of the large Pagoda advances (slowly but surely). Workmen, come especially from China, install the tiles (the tiles come from a Chinese village, they are made with the hand) on the roof. Completion date of work, always envisaged for 2010.

I do not envy the workers! It must take hours and hours to install so many tiles. But I am sure the final result will be outstanding.

I think you shared some of this before...Or I read something about it. This will truly be something to see when it is finished. I envy you!

That is a long time to be working on the building. Hand made tiles are so amazing.
I can't wait to see it finished.

That's really interesting. It should really be beautiful when it's done.

how many tiles are used there? Maybe they published the number somewhere..

Yes, I have heard about this fantastic project (and in Evry, of course!). Very nice to see how it progresses - slowly but surely! I understand it's financed by the bouhddists themeselves?

- Patrick White, nombreux romans
- Hugh Mackay, sociologue philosophe

That is interesting! There is always something new to learn! I had to read up on your older posts to know what's going on.
Wow! That is quite a project!

This building seems to be very high, is it no the landmark of Evry?are carrying those tiles by cargo ships ?
Fine days to you, Olivier!
(Now my PC is not any more going crazy by leaving comment to you !)

It is a beautiful set of photographs. I am glad the pagoda is there so the people have work to fix the roof. It must mean a lot to the village where the tiles were made back in China. Nice shots.

We've seen the Mosque, the Cathedral and now the buddist Pogoda...Bravo to Evry for embrasing all the religions!
