Ce château d'eau (se trouvant Rue de la Folie Barbot) servait a l'irrigation des potagers du château des Tourelles. Ce château et ses potagers ont été détruits par les Allemands en 1944 et le château d'eau ( d'une vingtaine de mètres) fut restauré en 1984 suite a la construction du lotissement de la Folie Barbot. Il ne fonctionne plus et appartient maintenant a la ville d'Evry.

This water tower (being Street of the Barbot Madness) was useful has the irrigation of the kitchen gardens of the castle of the Turrets. This castle and its kitchen gardens were destroyed by the Germans in 1944 and the tower water (of a score of meters) was restored in 1984 following the construction of the allotment of the Barbot Madness. It does not function any more and belongs now to the town of Evry.
