During the month of August, I had wanted to re-visit some of my photos b & w. The first of this small series, is the Seine during the festival on July 13.

The black and white is just perfect for his shot. I like the contrast of light and dark which enhances the scene.

A beautiful, peaceful scene. I love the post processing of this too.

A very romantic scene. I like your choice of black and white for the shot.

Bucolique, romantique, aquatique, idyllique...

The clouds and the water and that broken by the people looking at the boat. The different shapes trees. It all works in black and white and is probably nicer than it would be in color.

I remember this! It's also lovely in black and white, but I have to be honest: I think I like this particular scene better in color because of the greens of the trees and their reflection in the water. Nothing soothes my weary eyes (and soul) better than mother nature's refreshing greens.

What a totally heavenly photograph. So calm. Look at that water. Just beautiful, Olivier.

I also prefer the photo in b&w. It has a calming atmosphere about it.
Yes, it looks like an old postcard taken out from a forgotten box but...it works.

Ah, how beautiful! If it wasn't for the way the people are dressed, this scene could be from a 100 years ago. This is a classic summer shot. Lovely!

Very nice, Olivier. The B&W photo looks like an antique print, especially with the old steamboat on the river.

Beautiful view of this Seine in black and white!

It really looks like an old carte postale. Very nice!
