Le Parc du Lac #3 : Le Signal de Marta Pan

La Sculpture "Le Signal" de Martan Pan (1984)

Sculpture “the Signal” of Martan Pan (1984)

“For Marta PAN, the sculpture is a place of meeting between the architecture and the environment, the fluidity of the light and the corporality of the solid forms, between the sky, water, the ground and the man. Because it is always the human presence which justifies the work of art. There are sculptures which float and of the sculptures which dance, there are sculptures which plane and of the sculptures which dream.”

Red and green colors complement each other so well. And this form is quite extraordinary.

It's very unusual but colourful Olivier, a thinking point perhaps.

I have a little flower today and need help identifying it.

you always post such great modern sculpture. thanks for pointing out the mistakes in my labeling system, i would have kept repeating them.

What an interest piece. It makes me think of a Tuning Fork. I do like the artists explination of the piece. You always seem to have so many wonderful things to photograph. Peace.

I am amazed with how much modern art you have in Evry.

very interesting!

That's an interesting sculpture, thank you for sharing. Looks like it's stretching up into the sky, trying to balance on tiptoes. Perhaps you can try taking a pic of it when the trees are fully green to provide a more dramatic contrast?

Although not spontaneously impressed by the sculpture as such (I have nothing against modern art...), I'm impressed by the efforts of your municipality to really "do something"!! Are you happy with the local "government" and the local taxes?

I like this as it reminds me of the fickled finger of fate I so often see waved at each other in this country. How about one of these in front of our city hall. I like the color and the setting.

It's very unusual and unique. I do like its color.

Interesting sculptures.

Anonyme a dit…

Rafe Totengco a dit…

That's a big phallic sculpture, quite a 'boner' as we say here in the US! :-) Beautiful too.

Gudl a dit…

That is interesting and definitely has a 'wow'-effect!!

the colour is very striking too!

Bonjour Oliver.

I am ALMOST postive that there is a Marta Pan sculpture in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden but couldn't find a picture. Enjoy seeing the red metal flame of your photograph!
